The multi-purpose working vessel “Saatsee” was conceived as a robust round-bottom construction using steel for the hull (ice class E1) and aluminium for wheelhouse and superstructure.
The vessel’s stability characteristics allow for ideal pulling, pushing or crane operation, without limitations up to wind force 9. Apart from the general equipment necessary for a multi-purpose working vessel, the “Saatsee’s” deck equipment includes a high-performance towing hook complete with foldable bow, as well as a double slewing hydraulic working crane with an articulated lifting jib. A high-performance fire extinguishing monitor (500m3/h) and a salvage pump unit are also at the crew’s disposal.
There are special demands on the new vessel when it comes to its operation and upkeep, but also concerning its universal deployment possibilities and operating time of up to 40 years.
