This completely redesigned 28m search and rescue vessel is the powerful successor of the proven 27.5m class of the German Maritime Search and Rescue Association (German: Deutsche Gesellschaft zur Rettung Schiffbrüchiger, DGzRS).
The 28m search and rescue vessel and its 8m daughter boat are constructed in the tried and tested net-frame system using marine aluminium, and are both self-righting. With a maximum speed of 24 knots and a high-performance propulsion system, the 28m mother boat is well-equipped for safe service in the German bight.
